Terms and conditions

These terms apply when you buy or use a SetuTag. By buying, activating or using a tag you agree to them.

Last updated: September 2026

What SetuTag is

SetuTag is a QR code tag for vehicles. When a person scans the QR code and shares their location, we send a WhatsApp alert to the number you registered. Your number is not shown to the person who scans.

What you agree to

Alerts are not guaranteed

Alerts depend on the person scanning having internet access and allowing location, and on WhatsApp and mobile networks working. We try to make delivery reliable, but we cannot guarantee that an alert will be sent, delivered or read, or how quickly.

Not an emergency service

SetuTag is not an emergency service. It does not call the police, ambulance or fire services. In an emergency, call 112.

Misuse and suspension

We may limit, suspend or deactivate a tag if it is being misused or if we are required to by law. Tags are limited in how often they can be alerted, to protect owners from abuse.

Limits on our responsibility

To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for losses arising from a missed or delayed alert, from someone misusing a QR code that is on your vehicle, or from a third-party service such as WhatsApp or your mobile network being unavailable. Our total responsibility for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the tag.

Changes

We may update these terms and the service from time to time. The date at the top shows when they were last changed.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. If you have a problem, write to us first at support@setutag.in and we will try to resolve it.
